#RelationshipTips: 5 ways to get over a broken heart

Don’t get it twisted love is a beautiful thing, isn’t it but where do broken hearts go exactly? Straight into another relationship ASAP? No, obviously.

A breakup is painful thing; it makes one feel unwanted, incomplete and live in self-denial. As much as we love to love, sometimes, it does not just go right.
Below are 5 tips to get over a broken heart:

1. Allow yourself to grieve
Feel the emotions-fear, anger, pain and grief. But don’t allow it to linger on. Dust yourself, get up and stay hopeful of finding love again.
2. For now, stay away from love songs
You might want to stop listening to all the lovesongs e.g RnB artistes. Love songs would stir up the feeling of loss and make you feel worse. Heartbreak songs would aggravate your situations. Others may want you to run back to your ex.
3.Break all ties from your ex
Now is the time to clean all the messages and call history from your ex. Please don’t stalk them on social media. No form of contact with your ex is advisable. Stop leaving in the past and move on. Don’t try to make your ex feel jealous. Just leave them where they belong in the past.
4.Don’t rush into another relationship ASAP
There is usually an urge to hang on the next available person after a painful breakup. Take time to fall in love most especially with yourself.
5. Live your life
Cherish friendships but new and old. Start a new business, find a new hobby, travel, go back to school for a higher degree, just invest in developing yourself and being a blessing to people.
