Professor Richard Akindele, a former lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife, has on Monday changed his plea from ‘not guilty’ to ‘guilty’ in the sex-for-mark case.

Akindele is in court over his demand for sex from one of his students Monica Osagie.

The prosecutor Shogunle Adenekan said all parties in the matter have reached plea bargain and pleaded for a suspended sentence for the accused.

The matter was stood down for one hour.

It would be recalled that a Federal High Court in Osun ordered his remand in Ilesa prison, for demanding sex for mark from his student.
