Actress, Funke Adesiyan is plus one today
Nollywood actress and politician, Funke Adesiyan, is a year older today, March 14.
She hails from Ibadan, Oyo State.
Funke started out as a model at the age of 13, and by 14 had begun running her own business.
Popular for her movie, Eti Keta, Funke, recently lost out in her bid for the Ibadan South East State Constituency 2, under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the 2019 general elections.
Although she claimed she won the election, the actress, however, said her mandate was forcefully retrieved and that she was replaced with an “anointed candidate.”
Recall that in 2015, Funke contested under the umbrella of PDP for a seat in the House of Assembly, but she lost in the elections.
Her first involvement in politics was in 2011 when she ran a presidential campaign for Mallam Shekarau, who was a presidential candidate.
Funke studied Performing Arts at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State. She also has a diploma in Law from the same University and an Ordinary National Diploma from Ibadan Polytechnic.
