Premium Vodka brand, Belvedere has revealed its commitment to promoting art in Nigeria after the series of successful events it had last year with award-winning Nigerian performance and Visual artist, Laolu Senbajo on the unveiling of their artistic limited edition bottle which was designed by the artist.

The 2018 unveiling was an expression of Belvedere’s love for art and fashion as Laolu visually expressed the true essence and image of the brand with an amazing blend of traditional art revealing the magnificence that lies within the new limited-edition bottle. This year, the brand is further restating plans to do more for the art industry in Nigeria.

Speaking to the brand manager, Oluwole Awoleke, he stated that “Belvedere is very much interested in promoting art in Nigeria come 2019 and we have decided to work strongly in this industry because the concept of beauty that Belvedere holds is the same concept the brand perceives in Art and there is no better way to promote this beauty we both see than to invest in the industry.”

The Lagos Dreamscape that Laolu created in 2018 during the unveiling of Belvedere unlimited edition bottle was an image of the beauty that Lagos is through the artist eyes and Belvedere, come 2019, is looking forward to having more of such installations and events with more creative in the industry.

The essence of this will be to show Nigerian artists the opportunities that lie within their crafts by exposing their creativity to a broader spectrum through events Belvedere will be rolling out soon aimed at growing the Nigerian Art sector.

These events will be similar to the series of events had last year which are Canvas painting and Art Masterclasses, Luxury Popups, Light in the Night and Private Lunch which were done both in Abuja and Lagos, and the Fashion Soiree.

The vodka brand, aside art has also lent its voice for the past 8 years to the RED initiative to help tackle HIV/AIDS in Africa and they intend to use art to further create more awareness for this epidemic.
