Aisha Buhari plans to build university
Mrs Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s first lady, has said she plans to establish a private university to be named after her husband.
The university would be known as “Muhammadu Buhari University”.
She made disclosed this plan on Saturday during a townhall meeting in Yola, at an event organised by her in collaboration with concern indigenes of Adamawa.
Though she did not reveal when or where the university would be sited, the first lady however stated that the university would be established in collaboration with partners from Sudan and Qatar.
Lamenting the challenges facing education and various sectors in the state, Mrs Buhari called for active support of the state indigenes in complementing government efforts.
To complement the efforts of government in achieving some of its developmental goals, called for the establishment of Adamawa Development Trust Fund through, which prioritised developmental projects can be financed and implemented.
