3 Beauty Hacks to ignore
Looking good is good business. While we may want to out new things to glow and look at our best, there are some beauty hacks you should literally ignore.
They include:
*Limes in Place Of Deodorant
Lime may be zesty and earth-friendly but rubbing it under your armpits in place of deodorant is just wrong. Lime is acidic and can cause skin irritation and red, burning, scalding rashes. Regular deodorant is your best bet.
*Using Mouthwash to Combat Dandruff
People claim that mouthwash has ingredients for banishing tiny white flakes and as much as this sounds nice, there is no scientific data to support it. Dandruff is caused by an overgrowth of yeast and is often accompanied by a compromised skin barrier. The use of a strong alcohol-based mouthwash could further disrupt the scalp’s skin barrier.
*Diaper-Rash Cream for Breakouts
Diaper-rash cream can help soothe and calm inflamed skin but it is not something you should be smearing all over your face. For already sensitive, skin, a pore-plugging ingredient like zinc oxide (often found in diaper-rash creams) can trigger further breakouts.
