New documentary reveals real reason Meghan Markle split from first husband
A new documentary about Meghan Markle has revealed real reason she parted ways with her first husband before she met Prince Harry .
Meghan rarely speaks about her failed first marriage, but the documentary: Meghan Markle : Movies, Marriage & Motherhood, which aired last weekend on a new channel 5, featured an interview with royal correspondent Ashley Pierson, who claimed Meghan’s acting career drove them apart.
After tying the knot with her first husband, Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson, in Jamaica in 2011, the pair split in 2013, citing irreconcilable differences .
Ashley said: “They were together for seven years, married for two.
“The problem with the marriage was the distance.
“As soon as they married she got the gig on Suits and she was in Toronto and he was in LA.
The couple split in 2013 after just two years of marriage
“The relationship just didn’t last.”
Trevor, 42, remarried just days after Meghan welcomed her first baby with Harry.
The producer tied the knot with nutritionist Tracey Kurland and getting engaged two weeks after the royal wedding in 2018.
Meghan, 37, recently gave birth to the couple’s first child, Archie, who arrived a year after their glitzy royal wedding.
