Oyo State Assembly elects 32-year-old as Speaker
The 9th Oyo state House of Assembly on Monday elected 32-year-old Adebo Ogundoyin, a member representing Ibarapa East area as its Speaker.
Ogundoyin who was unopposed, had an unanimous voice vote of the 32 members Assembly.
This graduate of Babcock University election is favoured by a combination of factors such as his party affiliation, zoning consideration and experience being one of the four returning lawmakers to the Ninth Assembly on the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
The event which is being witnessed by the Governor Seyi Makinde, his deputy, Rauf Olaniyan among other top government functionaries and stakeholders was still ongoing at the hallowed chamber of the Assembly at the time of filing this report.
