Nigerians celebrate female pilot for successfully landed aircraft after losing tyres
Nigerian female pilot, Capt. Sinmisola Ajibola, has received praises for showning how skilled she is at her job after she prevented a near crisis at the Lagos airport runway.
Capt. Ajibola averted near tragedy on Air Peace when her plane Airpeace Boeing 737 landing gear collapses after dropping 30ft before landing in Lagos.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 23.
Sinmisola is the first female captain to be decorated by Air Peace airlines.
She joined Air Peace in February 2017 as a Senior First Officer (SFO), and made history as the airline’s first female captain.
She is from a family of pilots – father and four brothers, three of whom are with Air Peace.
