Be ready to be under his authority, Oyedepo counsel single ladies

Pastor Faith Oyedepo has counseled single ladies willing to get married to ensure they are ready to be under their proposed husbands’ authority; else, that marriage may never work.

In a post on her Instagram page on Monday, the wife of Living Faith Church Worldwide, while speaking on the topic, “submission in the home’ stated that in God’s divine order, submission from a wife to her husband is a necessary requirement for making the marriage work.

She also urged married ladies not to wait for enforced submission, rather they must willingly put themselves under their husband’s authority.

She wrote: “SUBMISSION IN THE HOME

“In God’s divine order, submission from a wife to her husband is a necessary requirement for making a marriage work. It is also a command from God (Ephesians 5:21-24). Although sometimes submission may appear as foolishness to the world, to the believer, it is wisdom.

“To my single daughters, before you agree to marry any man, ensure that you are willing and ready to put yourself under his authority; else, that marriage may never work.

“Married ladies, don’t wait for enforced submission; willingly put yourself under your husband’s authority.
