Womanhood is a beautiful experience

Womanhood is beautiful

Born a girl I rejoice
Nurtured by a woman I learned
Puberty sets in and those organs
Started developing I knew it’s time
My motherly duties just began.

The cramps came I endured
As its my nature and a sign.
I became careful with association .
I knew I can become a mum anytime.

Suddenly I became sick
Vomiting  and craving sets in.
Loved some foul smells.
Despised the good ones .
The time came and an adorable
Being came forth.
Alas I am a mum

My womb finally begot an individual
I wasn’t skilled but I learnt to nurture
I became a nurse
A consultant
A chef
An adviser
A disciplinarian
A prayer warrior
A care giver.

My heart sank with each stage.
I wanted the best for my child.
Her betterment topmost in my heart.
Despite all odds I will always stand for her
Alas I am now a mother.

My womb didn’t bring forth a child
But I nurtured one.
Cried, laughed and impacted her
Starved so s/he can feed well.
I’m proudly a mother.

Heartbroken by my child
But I stood still
I know s/he can be better
I fasted and prayed.
Educated and Advised till they became better
S/he became someone and I am proud.
I am a mother

Despite the highs and lows
I am steadfast and my love never dwindles
It grows with every stage.
And lasts forever.
I am a mother.
A proud one.

Despite all the challenges and everything, in my next world a mother is who I want to be.

The Joy, satisfaction, excitement is way above the anger, frustration and bitterness.
