First coronavirus case in Africa confirmed in Egypt
The first case of coronavirus in Africa has been confirmed in Egypt.
The Egyptian Health Ministry has confirmed its first case of the deadly coronavirus.
In a statement released on Friday, Febuary 14, the authorities revealed they have notified the World Health Organization.
The patient has been placed in isolation in a hospital for treatment and monitoring.
Egypt is believed to be the 28th country in the World to record a case of the killer virus.
The killer virus broke out from Wuhan in China.
More than 64,000 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed and 1363 confirmed dead.
