Children who see their parents genuinely get along feel more secured – Kemi Oyedepo

Kemi Oyedepo, wife of David Oyedepo Jnr. Resident pastor of Winners’ Chapel, Canaan Land, has said that children need to see their parents genuinely enjoy each other’s company.

She added that it is critical for them to see their parents experience the fullness of joy that comes with marriage.

According to her post on Instagram, a godly marriage should express true joy and friendship at all times. Adding that children who grow in such an environment, tend to enjoy spending a lot of time with their parents, admire such a relationship, and even look forward to experiencing the same when their turn comes.

She urged parents to loosen up and do their best to promote the goodness of marriage in your home.

“Folks, your children need to see you and your spouse genuinely enjoying each other’s company. It’s critical for them. They need to see their parents experiencing the fullness of joy that comes with marriage.

“Too many children see their parents walking on eggshells around each other, wondering what’s going to happen next and being careful not to make any ‘wrong’ move.

“A godly marriage should express true joy and friendship at all times. So much so that even when you do have some differences, you resolve them amicably and forge ahead stronger than ever.

“Children who see their parents genuinely getting along feel more secure and tend to enjoy spending a lot of time with their parents. They admire such a relationship and even look forward to experiencing the same when their turn comes.

“Please loosen up and do your best to promote the goodness of marriage in your home. God’s grace has been made available in abundance, it’s our duty to put that grace to work. It’s not only good for you; it’s better for your children.

“If your relationship is suffering any strain, be quick to seek out the solution (God’s word & godly counsel) for restoration. Wishing you God’s best in your marriage and family life! Blessed weekend. Cheers…#kemioyedepo #marriage #light #wisdom #crisisproofyourfamily.”
