Tonto Dikeh Foundation partners to curb tuberculosis disease in Nigeria
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has joined the national campaign to curb the spread of tuberculosis, which has now become a public health concern in Nigeria.
The actress was unveiled as a Campaign Ambassador for “SPREAD the Tuberculosis Story” during a Press Conference in Abuja.
In a post on her Instagram page, she stated that she is delighted to be a partner to end TB in Nigeria by 2030.
“Tuberculosis continued to be a public health concern here in Nigeria, 18 Nigerians dies every hour from TB. The need to contain this deadly disease is taking a different shape as we officially launched our Nationwide Campaign to curb this disease.
“48hours ago we unveiled a global Humanitarian @tontolet as Campaign Ambassador for “SPREAD the Tuberculosis Story” during a Press Conference in Abuja.
“It is delightful to have partnered with The Tonto Dikeh Foundation is embarking on this course to end TB in Nigeria by 2030.
“I must commend the Federal Government and representatives from the TB Control Centre who were available during the conference, efforts from the Ministry of Health is commendable.
“Let’s fight this together!!!.” She wrote.
