Sparkling In Sequins

March 3,2020
Share:

If you’re looking for a way to give your outfit a fun, shimmery spin, it’s time to give sequins a shot. These fashion staples add sparkle to every occasion and event. Whatever length or style, they always make any night a special one.

Get your fashion inspirations from these Nigerian fashion icons dazzling on different colours and styles of sequins dresses.

Play With Colour

If the dress is a neutral colour like black or silver, you can play with colours. Pair with a red handbag and classy pumps to make your dress pop.

Mix And Match

If you are wearing a sequined top, pants, or a jacket, pair it up with something contrasting and solid so that you can get a reduced sparkling effect. Keep the rest of your look neutral. You can’t wear sequins blouse and sequins skirt. Instead a cotton or chiffon blouse over a sequins skirt will give you that classy look.

Add Elegance

While a sequins dress can be striking, make sure you look classy and not trashy; incorporate accessories that would give the dress that elegant feel. *Pearls are an ideal option when you want to make sure that your sequins dress looks sophisticated.

Keep It Simple

When you’re wearing a sequins dress, its shine and sparkle make it the focal point of your outfit; loading up statement accessories could easily make you appear over-dressed.

*Don’t pair your dress with a clutch purse and pair od shoes of matching sequins or rhinestones. Also, avoid large, heavy jewelry.
