Adele chose to  honours frontline workers to mark her  32nd birthday.

British vocalist, Adele Adkins has penned a message of gratitude to those at the frontline in the fight against COVID-19, as a way of marking her 32nd birthday.

The award-winning singer took to her Instagram page on Thursday to pay tributes to “first responders and essential workers”, describing them as “our angels”.

“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” she wrote while sharing a picture in which she wore a black mini dress with billowing sleeves.

“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels.”

The birthday message, which doubles as her first post since Christmas, began trending worldwide after the singer’s followers started talking about the singer’s strides in recent times.

It also comes as health workers across the globe continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, which has since claimed nearly 260,000 lives and infected close to 3.8 million people.

Adele recently made headlines after she had sold her marital home in Sussex at a £1 million loss, having let out the property to financiers for the sum of £3 million.

The English songstress had filed for divorce from Simon Konecki, her estranged husband, in 2019. The duo also stated that they would remain committed to raising their son together.
