#EndSARS: Ellen Johnson Sirleaf calls for de-escalation of violence against protesters
First female President of Liberia and Nobel Peace Laureate, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has joined calls for an immediate de-escalation of violence against the #EndSARS protestors.
In a tweet, the octogenarian noted that the right to peacefully protest must be protected, adding that it is critical to listen to, and engage with, the voices of the youth, not try to silence them.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf becomes the latest international figure to decry the attack on Tuesday night #EndSARS protesters by men perceived to be from the Nigerian Army.
