Share:

Wizkid and 2Baba are among music stars enlisted to perform at the 2020 edition of Felabration which will hold between October 15 and 17.

The 2020 edition of the annual event, which commemorates the life and times of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, late Afrobeat legend, is tagged: ‘Fight to Finish, Fight to Win’.

Other artistes expected to perform at the event include Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Falana Music, Bez, Niniola, Joeboy, Antibalas and WurlD.

This year’s edition of the annual event will be held virtually as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The event will be streamed online across several social media platforms including Zoom, Facebook and YouTube.

The event is billed to commence with a traditional symposium to examine topical issues affecting Africa.

Those expected to speak at the symposium include Arikana Chihombori, the former permanent representative to the African Union mission in Washington DC, Kweku Mandela and Dele Farotimi, lawyer and author.

The opening event, christened ‘Colomentality’, will be hosted by Vincent Magombe, a Ugandan media personality.

The event will also feature activities including ‘Dress like Fela Challenge’ festival which usually involves participants impersonating Fela Kuti with the winner expected to win a grand prize of N50,000.

Participants can join in the symposium using this link.
