*Reminisces on his journey into entertainment industry
Comedian, Seyi Law has won his first award in acting, and he has been reminiscing on how his journey into the entertainment industry began, 19 years ago.
He picked the best supporting actor (Africa) at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) awards courtesy of fellow comedian and movie producer, Ayo Makun’s yet-to-be-released movie, ALMAJIRI.

According to him, he started out in 2003 as an actor but had to switch to comedy after much frustration with not getting movie roles.
He thanked AY for believing in him, and everyone who has been his pillar of support.
“My journey into the Entertainment industry started in 2003 and the National Art Theatre was my point of call, then Winnie’s in Surulere. I switched to comedy after much frustration with not getting movie roles. Fast forward to 19 years later, with God Almighty and the belief by AYODEJI RICHARD MAKUN, @aycomedian I have bagged my first award in a movie in faraway Canada as BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR (AFRICA) TINFF AWARDS courtesy his yet to be released movie, ALMAJIRI.
“Next year as I celebrate 20 years in the business and my 40th Birthday, I return all the glory to God Almighty and say THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have been my pillars of support.
“I dedicate the award to my dearest and darling mother who couldn’t witness this, my wife, @e_stacy11, daughters, and @aycomedian.”
