Stop making statements that are oppressive and divisive -IK Osakioduwa urge Nigerians
Popular media personality and compére, IK Osakioduwa has called on Nigerians to avoid making statements that are oppressive and divisive, but rather develop a National outlook to our identities.
IK, in a video shared on his official Instagram page on Monday, spoke out against sentiment talks, especially in Lagos state, which took ethnic colours, following the loss of the APC presidential flag bearer in the first round of the election.

He noted that no great nation was built on ideals of tribalism, rather, great nations are built when people appreciate the various parts that make up the whole.
He then called for all to rather develop a National outlook on our identities, where we are all Nigerians.
He wrote: “Hey people, the elections are over. But we still have serious questions to ask ourselves.
Just a quick word to commend a few people.
Also please remember Lagos today is only special because of “Industry” and you don’t need to be a genius to figure out that the wealth of Lagos was not created by only the Yorubas. Nobody should be made to feel unwelcome here. If all the non-Yoruba people left Lagos with their businesses, what would Lagos be like? Let us stop making statements that are oppressive and divisive. Let us rather develop a National outlook on our identities, where we are all Nigerians. No great nation was built on ideals of tribalism. Great nations are built when people appreciate the various parts (states) that make up the whole. Let’s stop this “Third World” behaviour.”
