Glenfiddich Brings BEYOND Celebration to Lagos
Glenfiddich has brought its global BEYOND platform to Lagos, bringing together Nigerian celebrities, creatives, high-net-worth individuals and leading cultural tastemakers in a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity and progress.

The Lagos event also spotlighted the Glenfiddich 16 Year Old Limited Release No. 02, the second expression created in celebration of the whisky brand’s partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team.
Held in Lagos, the celebration attracted personalities from Nigeria’s fashion, entertainment, lifestyle and creative industries, including Glenfiddich collaborators Nancy Isime, Swanky Jerry and Ifeanyi Nwun, alongside other prominent guests.

The event formed part of Glenfiddich’s wider BEYOND platform, which explores the connection between craftsmanship and the pursuit of progress, while allowing each market to interpret the global campaign through its own cultural identity.
In Nigeria, the concept was expressed through the theme of Glenfiddich craftsmanship meeting original Nigerian creativity, with the Lagos event drawing on the city’s influence in fashion, music, design, entertainment and contemporary culture.

At the centre of the BEYOND campaign is Glenfiddich’s partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team, a collaboration that brings together whisky craftsmanship and the precision of Formula One engineering.
The partnership reflects a shared emphasis on precision, foresight and attention to detail. Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team Managing Technical Partner Adrian Newey represent two distinct disciplines in which meticulous craftsmanship and technical expertise are central to achieving exceptional results.
That philosophy is reflected in the Glenfiddich 16 Year Old Limited Release No. 02, whose character is shaped by a carefully considered maturation process.

The whisky is initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before being finished in Port, Fino Sherry, Oloroso Sherry and wine casks. The use of five different cask types creates a layered profile designed to deliver depth, texture and balance.
The resulting expression features aromas of stewed fruits, floral notes, marzipan and polished leather, while the palate combines creamy toffee and caramelised cane sugar with dry oak tannins. It concludes with a long-lasting oaky sweetness.
The 16 Year Old Limited Release No. 02 serves as the product expression of the BEYOND campaign, linking Glenfiddich’s approach to whisky-making with the precision and engineering associated with Formula One.
For its Nigerian chapter, however, Glenfiddich placed particular emphasis on local creative expression. The Lagos celebration brought together fashion, music, design, culture and entertainment, reflecting the city’s growing influence as one of Africa’s major creative hubs.
The participation of Isime, Jerry and Nwun further reinforced the local dimension of the campaign, with each bringing a distinct creative perspective to the platform.
Beyond the whisky itself, the Lagos celebration offered an intersection of global craftsmanship and Nigerian creativity, bringing together personalities and industries shaping the country’s contemporary cultural landscape.
Through BEYOND, Glenfiddich continues to explore the craftsmanship, curiosity and attention to detail involved in creating exceptional experiences and products, while inviting audiences to look beyond the obvious.
