Nigerian artist, Bella Shmurda, real name Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, has chronicled his journey from grass to grace. The musician was a guest on Echo Room TV’s Link Up, where he spoke extensively about his ascent to stardom and other topics. In his conversation with the host, the singer confessed that despite his success, his mother would still call him to go deliver chairs to clients of her rental business. Additionally, he recounted how he had stolen a neighbor’s bicycle and had sold it for N7,000 in the well-known Alaba Market. He admitted that he used some of the funds on a studio session to further his musical career. He also discussed how the fact that he was turned down for a show at LASU inspired him to work hard to succeed in his singing career. He went on to say that Poco Lee had an impact on his song, Vision 2020, and that he was responsible for its social media success. Olamide approached him soon after for a collaborative remix of the song and even paid for the shooting of the music video. He said that his upcoming album will be a delight for his audience when making a statement about it. Some of the top stars in the music industry, including Casper Nyovest, Runtown, Omah Lay, and Simi, collaborated on the album.
