Everyday Should Be Mother’s Day – Genevive Nnaji
The Mother’s Day which was celebrated on Sunday across the world has got many asking how many Mother’s Day there are in a year. Though the one celebrated yesterday is American while the other one is British, but this has not stopped people asking the question and arguing there should be only one.
But Nollywood top star, Genevieve Nnaji has waded into the issue, offering her opinion with a strong position on the matter.
“Everyday should be Mother’s Day. The pledge to love and to protect a mother, sister, wife and daughter should never end. Woman stop with the ‘denial and self hate’.No act of abuse is done out of love for you.” she counsels
“ Let affirmation and self-love be your byword. When you know what ‘to love you’ really means, only then will you know when someone is not loving you right. #SayNoToDomesticViolence
