FIX YOUR EYEBROWS: POWDER vs GEL KIT

June 28,2016

Brow defining products have been trending for a while now with new formulas hitting brand shelves quicker than you can say “Fix It”. Most of us are familiar with pencils and powders; the rise of new innovations like the eyebrow gel kit and liquid eyebrow set gives us more options when it comes to filling in our eyebrows.

We’ve put together a comparative guide on these eyebrow formulas, how to use them and how to tell if the product is right for you. Keep reading to find out what eyebrow kit suits you best.

eyebrow gelThe powder eyebrow filler has been a long time staple for us. We absolutely love it because it’s fast and easy to use, it gives a softer, more natural finish, plus it’s easier to fix mistakes because powders rub away easier than pencils that leave harsher lines. This product comes in two shades and it’s quite simple to customize your preferred eyebrow color from the shades provided. The kit comes with a double ended angled brush and a sponge applicator, a spooly or mascara wand.

The eyebrow gel helps to keep unruly eyebrows in place, because they are cream based formulas; the pigmented wax defines your eyebrows to make it fuller and adds a hint of color. This gel formula is longer lasting and gives a more intense finish. This trio kit consists of a gel filler, powder and cream highlighter that’ll have your eyebrows defined and perfected. Alongside a small concealer brush and a double ended angled brush/spooly.

The same application method applies to all formulas:

Brush through your eyebrows using your spooly

Use an angled brush to apply product, starting lightly at the beginning of your eyebrows for a seamless fade.

For a quick fix, stick the spooly brush into the product and comb through your hairs to distribute.

For soft and natural looking eyebrows that will stay in place, a gel kit is the way to go. It also gives a natural finish depending on your application style! *wink*
