American singer, Chris Brown, has been arrested on the grounds of assaulting a woman with a gun. The woman, Baylee Curran, a beauty pageant queen, had told LA Times that Chris Brown had pointed a gun at her face as she was admiring his friend’s jewellery. She had alerted the police in reaction to the supposed assault. The Police had gone to Chris’ $4million house in Tarzana area outside Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Chris came out of his house finally after a stand off with the police , after declining to open the door for the policemen. The officers had to wait for a judge to grant a search warrant before going inside the singer’s property to search for a weapon. It was noted that Chris refused to make appearance until his lawyer showed up. Chris’s lawyer had said in a tweet that his client was later freed from arrest, adding that the accusations levelled on Chris were ”demonstrably false”
Associated Press reported that Mr Brown was released on $250,000 (£190,000) bail.
During the stand-off, Chris was busy posting videos online accusing the police of harrassing him. In one instagram video, he posted to about 30m followers, ”When you get the warrant for whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots”

The woman who made the complaint in an interview with E! said Brown pointed a gun at her face after an argument about a diamond cross necklace.
The woman said there was a man selling diamond watches and necklaces near the kitchen area, she admired a diamond cross but did not touch it or pick it up, and there was a dispute and another man began nudging her toward the door and telling her she needed to leave.
“And that’s when Chris Brown kind of went off off, pulled out his gun and said, ‘get the f out,'” she told E! in a phone interview. “He was saying, ‘get the f out.’ Like, ‘haven’t I told you guys enough,’ and he was kind of threatening me with the gun, like he’s gonna shoot me with it if I don’t get out,” she said.
The woman said that after she left an associate who brought her shoes and cellphone tried to get her to sign some sort of non-disclosure agreement, she said.
The American singer has been convicted severally for violence, particularly a 2009 assault on his one-time girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.
