FADAN Holds Sub-Skill Workshop

A two-day sub- skill workshop for young and aspiring designers, kicked off today in Lagos at the national secretariat of the Fashion Designers Association (FADAN), national Theatre Lagos.
Organized by FADAN in partnership with LoLa Alao Empowerment Foundation (LAEF), the workshop seeks to improve the skills of up coming designers through knowledge transfer.
The event pulled potential designers from across the states of the federation where the association have chapters.
Popular fashion Illustrator, Omonigho Imonah, held participants spell bound with her ever lively sessions as she took the spell- bound fashion enthusiast through the rudiments of sketching and illustrating styles.
Bridget Jaja, the creative designer at Loving Cribs and the Secretary of the Lagos State chapter of FADAN, spoke on the business side if fashion and on how to start and sustain a business.
Former Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Honourable, Olufemi Bamisile, was on hand to motivate the participants encouraging them to embrace the opportunity provided by FADAN. Even as he called on the government to support the fashion industry.
President of FADAN, Mrs. Funmi Ajila-Ladipo, says the training will be ongoing to help young designers “hone their skills “.
