21-year-old prison inmate comes top at a beauty pageant held in Kenyan prison

Ruth Wanjiru Kamanda, a 21-year-old prison inmate has been crowned Miss Langata Prison 2016. The beauty contest was organised for female prisoners.
Kamande is currently being held in prison and facing murder charges following the death of her boyfriend Farid Ahmed over a love triangle in Buru Buru estate, Kenya in 2014.
First runner-up was Tina Martin convicted for drug related offenses. Then Susan Wairirmu convicted for participation in robbery and murder-related crime came third. Kamanda had defeated 19 other contestants to clinch the number position.
