4 Incredible ways to boost your career

Probably you are unsatisfied with your career level and you want to take it to a notch higher. Stay calm and see 4 easy ways to boost your career. They are:

1. Buy a Book
Distractions come in different forms. Sometimes surfing the net and checking mails can be time consuming. You could devout the time to learning something relevant to your industry or field. You could also use some more time management, productivity or leadership skills. It is advisable to commit oneslef to buying and of course reading one book for your next career move.
2. Follow Companies on Social Media: Use social media for the beneficial purposes. Why not pick five (that’s it, just five) interesting companies and follow them on social media. These days organisations use social media differently from posting ads, job listings, insider information to randomly fun stuff. You could check out career experts to follow too and learn from their experience and knowledge. Keep your options open.
3. Create a Networking Budget: It doesn’t have to be a lot of money you set aside for the next few months, but enough to take away any excuses you make when opportunities pop up. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take a new colleague out to dinner, or enjoy a large amount of cough happy hour cough with some old work connections? Not to mention, set aside some money for networking adds to your intention that you’ll actually do it.
4. Sign Up for a Conference or Industry: Remember, nothing beats a real, live, in-person connection! Even if you don’t use that connection now, it’s one more person you can reach out to if you do decide to start searching for a new position six month down the road. One more thing you can do for your career is to focus on finding work you actually love doing. And now is a great time to figure it out before things get crazy later in the year.
