A mysterious phenomen has revealed itself at the Campus Santiago Apostle, in the Catholic University of Honduras in Danli, where the statue of Virgin Mary was spotted crying.
While local worshippers were baffled with what they saw, pastor of the congregation, Priest Juan Angel Lopez remains convinced that the weeping sculpture is not a fake.
Priest Lopez, who is the Pastor of the Iglesia Santo Domingo Savio church in Honduras’ capital Tegucigalpa, commented on the incident that occured at the weekend: “I’m not saying it’s true, I’m saying it’s possible. In this case, I suspect that there is no falsehood because I know people who run the Campus Santiago Apostle. I know the seriousness of people, who have (sic) recorded the video and do not think they would fake it.”
However, the priest himself can’t explain the occurrence and believes it is a miracle. Footage shows tears rolling down Virgin Mary effigy’s cheeks as a person behind the camera is wiping them away with a tissue.
