aramideAfro-soul singer and songwriter, Aramide Sarumoh a.k.a Aramide, is gathering momentum to dish out her debut album. This was revealed by her in a tweet in the early hours of today, October 6, 2016. that read: I’ve got #TheKeys I am finally ready to take you guys on a journey #November

However, the sultry singer did not indicate the title of the album nor the exact release date; but judging from her tweets, it is most likely her album may be titled “The Keys” with the release date to be sometime in November. As a result, many of her fans have been showing excitement and curiosity.

Aramide had discovered her talent for singing and writing way back as a teenager. She decided to nurture her talents. On completion of her secondary education, she took out time to learn to play the saxophone and guita. She was with a band that came third -runners up in a music competition, Star Quest while she was still an undergraduate at University of Jos. This feat made her to pursue a solo career after she graduated.
Aramide got signed to Baseline Music on September 9, 2014 after exiting Eldee’s Trybe Records.

When asked who influences her choice of music, the talented singer mentioned the likes of Erykah Badu, Miriam Makeba, Sade Adu, Angelique Kidjo and other greats. Aramide is a recipient of several awards amongst which are the Alternative Artist of The Year award at the 2016 edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Award (NEA) and Best Vocal Performance (Female) category at the 2015 edition of the Headies Award for love song ‘Iwo nikan’.She has several hit songs popular amongst them is ”Love me” and ”Fun mi lowo”.
