Aisha Buhari releases photos from Zahra’s Henna Night and on-going wedding
By Rita Chioma
Again, the First Lady Aisha Buhari, who is the mother of the bride, Zahra, released some minutes ago, the Sa Lalle picture of Zahra and her friends.
The Hausa cultural marriages are packed with activities among which is the Wuni/Sa Lalle which is an event strictly for the ladies.
This is when the bride gets to spend the last bit of free time with her friends and female members of her family, in her father’s house.
A batch of henna is made and used to make beautifully designs on the bride’s hands, palms and legs. Her friends and family also get henna designs on their hands but not as elaborate as the bride. Henna is used to bring out the beauty of the bride.
Adding to that, the exquisite luxury cake for Zahra Buhari’s Cinderalla-themed Royal Ball took a “crazy amount of hours” to make, according to the baker, Relia and France.
