Bride dies in helicopter crash meant to surprise her groom

A Brazilian bride, Rosemere do Nascimento Silva who wanted to surprise her husband-to-be by making a dramatic entrance on their wedding day in a helicopter died in an crash near the venue of the wedding.
Rosemere’s desire to surprise her groom Udirley Narques Damasceno, 34 and their 300 hundred ended on a tragic note, as she died, fully dressed in her wedding gown with veil, alongside her brother, six months pregnant photographer and the pilot of the helicopter.
The helicopter had crashed one mile from the wedding venue.
The groom, Udirley, 34, was told his wife-to-be had been killed while waiting to marry her at the altar alongside 300 guests at the wedding venue in the grounds of Recanto Beija-Flor in Sao Laurenco da Serra, San Paulo, Brazil.
The helicopter crashed in a forested area near the football field it was scheduled to land in. Sao Paulo Fire Department sent eight teams to the scene, although there were no survivors. The journey would have taken just 15 minutes.
The wedding organiser, Carlos Eduardo Batista, who told The Sun News, that “all the laughter and joy got “sucked out of the room” the instant everyone knew as “no one knew how to react to this enormous tragedy”.
“Everyone expected a day of joy but it turned into a day of horror.”
