Ace comedian, Basket mouth has promised to never mock the Nigerian Police Force in his jokes again. This is coming after they impressed him with the handling of a recent robbery at his Lagos residence.
Basketmouth was pictured at the office of the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, who returned a stolen handset recovered from thieves who robbed his home. I’m expressing his gratitude to the Police Force for their efforts, Basketmouth said;
“I want to thank the Nigeria Police for a job well-done. I thought I will never see again the items stolen from my house.
“It is amazing that within two weeks of the robbery attack, the suspects were arrested, my handset recovered.
“I usually make negative jokes about our police, but with this performance, I will never use them for negative jokes. I advise members of the public to always support the police.
“In western nations, it is the public that assists the police for information against criminals.”
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), two of the suspects have been apprehended and charged to court following their invasion of the comedian’s house.
