Mobile money platform, fets sponsors LFDW 2017
Mobile payment solution company, fets has announced it’s sponsorship of the 2017 Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW).
The sponsorship will help showcase fets as a formidable payment platform/solution that aims to benefit SMEs especially in the fashion industry, as fets will serve as the sole payment processing partner for the fashion event scheduled to hold in Lagos on 30th March to 2nd April in Lagos.
In addition, fets will be discussing the importance and benefits of mobile money for the SME sector as mobile payments provides entrepreneurs with many payment options and give businesses the flexible solutions they need to make payment processing simple. Using fetswallet will further make transactions seamless for SMEs, enabling them to pay and get paid with no hassle or delay.
For example, rather than financing through cheques, which must be physically deposited at a local branch of their bank, fetswallet combats these cumbersome barriers by providing a digital solution. Once adapted, the payment solution will facilitate ease of disbursement of funds such as salary and payments to suppliers.
Speaking on the partnership, fets Managing Director, Mrs. Omotade Odunowo said “SMEs are highly critical to our country’s survival. SMEs can be used as a tool to solve unemployment as well as increase investment in the economy. One of fets goal is to educate SMEs on the benefits and ease of mobile payment, which will enhance their business. In Nigeria, mobile payment has become a very acceptable payment medium.
The greatest benefits for vendors will come from how seamlessly the mobile transaction element is integrated into the overall shopping experience.”
Now in its seventh year, LFDW was created to nurture local African talent, create awareness for the Nigerian fashion industry and an opportunity for entrepreneurs to grow. LFDW showcases the inspiring level of talent present in Nigeria’s fashion designers. Each designer will be designated a space, to display their designs and engage directly with guests, buyers or editors.
The company recently sponsored Orange culture to the London Fashion Week, on the Fashion Scout platform, where it was the first African Menswear label.
