Publisher, Betty Irabor has in her usual candid manner shared a piece on her struggle to find what else was there for to do with her life.
In a piece titled, “I needed an unveiling” Irabor took to her Instagram page hours ago to share a moving caption alongside a sweet photo of herself with her followers on how she handled the phase, where she felt a need to do something but didn’t know what it was.
Read her piece below:
“I needed an unveiling…
A year or so before my 60th birthday I turned to God and asked him what was next for me. I knew that there was much more to do to fulfill my purpose. I was always a late bloomer and age has never defined me. I knew my future was pregnant again . I could feel it, I knew it was there but It wasn’t adding up. It was blurry and I couldn’t access it.
I needed an unveiling. I began to look for that next level every where. I experimented with some ideas that I could not connect with. Every time I thought “this must be it” it fell through! I found that the more I struggled to find it, the more the confusion. I stopped the struggle because I realised that the more I tried to force it to manifest the more my frustration. I have always known that God is not an author of confusion. I sought His will. I prayed that my will aligns with His and not the other way round….
Then when I decided to be still.. It came to me. Funny thing is, it was there all the time…..
Sometimes we have uncertainties about our relationships, career, finances, children and life’s many burdens. The process may be slow but our lives will start to take shape when while doing what we can we still surrender our works and concerns to God… So whatever your struggles, remember that the lines are fallen on you in pleasant places and you have a goodly heritage …
Thus far, her post has gotten tons of comments, notable among them are the ones from Tara Fela Durotoye, who wrote, “Thank you Aunty ?? #speechless“ and actress, Olayode Juliana, who said, “This blessed me ma @bettyirabor always good to read from you ma??”
