Popular, socialite, Kayode Sanni, others face jail term

Nigerian socialite, Kayode Sanni and some of his associates are presently facing jail time for defrauding the British government of nearly £2.5millon.
Along with his other associates, Adedamola Oyebode, Oluwatobi Odeyemi and Gbenga Odeyemi; the group stole personal details of British MP’s to claim funds from the government.
The scam was spotted by the Revenue and Customs service when the organization noticed the high rates at which civil servants were making claims.
Reports say the group were set to dupe the British government of more than £10 million if they were not caught.
Three of them including Sanni will be sentenced on July 6.
The fourth person is said to have escaped and is currently on the run in Nigeria.
