By Patricia Uyeh
Nigerian singer, Chinagorom Onuoha, better known as African China, whose music style is Dance hall, in a recent interview, criticised the new generation of artistes.
According to him, the new breed of musicians are a disrespectful set of people.
The ” Mr President” crooner also cited an experience of being the victim after he was turned down by a new school artiste whose he name he did not want to disclose.
He then lamented meeting and exchanging numbers with a certain new generation artistes only for him to ring this artiste up and have his calls ignored.
“Your phone rings and you don’t respond, it’s crazy…” the veteran said.
He concluded by saying that the same proud artiste becomes humbled with time and would still come back to the old school artistes for advice and support.
African China said:
“That time they are raving they make it difficult for everybody to come close to them, then when their rave drops, come and see them trying to associate with everybody shining their stupid 32 teeth, coming back to people like us to ask ‘how have you people been doing it?'”
