African designer’s Mall founder becomes first and youngest ambassador for origin Africa upscale

By Rita Chioma,
Ebele Udoh, founder of African designer’s Mall becomes the 1st and youngest ambassador for origin Africa upscale.
Origin Africa is the biggest trade show in Africa. It is African Cotton & Textile Industries Federation’s (ACTIF) premium platform to promote the African cotton, textile, and apparel and associated industries.
ACTIF has recently appointed 3 Remarkable Young Leaders from Nigeria, Kenya and Zimbabwe to pioneer and drive UPSCALE in Africa.
Representing Nigeria, Ebele Udoh will work with and in line with ACTIF’s vision to improve trade in and with Africa, raise awareness of Africa as a place to do business, and, as an increasingly important sourcing destination for international textile, apparel, home décor and accessories products; and bring the latest technologies, processes and best practices to the attention of African producers as well as be a voice for African Creatives in the UPSCALE initiative.
In the past months, she has travelled to Madagascar, South Africa, Ghana and was a speaker at the recently concluded EU-Africa Partnership on Cotton 2017 Summit held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso all in the cause of African Fashion Movement.
Outstanding talent and creativity is vested in our African designers and micro/small businesses.
Growing these businesses into brands is seldom easy, but the growth of our fashion industry is inextricably linked with the development of these micro enterprises.
Origin Africa Upscale provides micro and small creative industries (our African Designers) an increasing range of services.
Now, Nigerian Designers will have the opportunity to expand their businesses in the international market and are also afforded the opportunity to showcase and network with the formal sector.
