Music diva, Emma Chukwugoziam Obi, better known by her stage name Emma Nyra, disclosed in a recent chat that Nigerians don’t appreciate songs with content, instead they prefer dance-able songs and that is where the money is.

She said:

“Our target market likes to dance. That’s why you see some of our artistes in Nigeria release dance music because that is where the money is. So if you want artistes to change, the target audience which is our consumers need to appreciate it when artistes do RnB and when artistes do songs that have meaning…. So if you celebrate artistes who have more content, the  content would change, music goes around in a trend and until that changes content would be the same”
