Actor, IK Ogbonna reveals how he overcame stammering

Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna revealed that he was actually born a stammerer but it took determination for him to overcome it.
He made this known during a chat with Hip TV saying:
“A lot of people that grew up with me till date are shocked to see me in movies because I was a stammerer. I could not talk to save my life and that made me a little violent towards the male folks. There were situations where I would try to defend myself but I couldn’t then my fist does the rest
“Then father called me one day, I think I was 14 and said ‘No deficiency is meant to be that way unless you let it be’. That thought kept ringing in my head and he taught me ways to cure it like sitting on my own and talking to myself, repeating words in my head before saying it, trying to talk slow and especially working on my temper and gradually I found myself talking even though it was hard from the start”
