A society demanding ‘humility’ is enslaving – Media personality, Funmi Iyanda
By Patricia Uyeh,
Media personality, Funmi Iyanda shared her views on our society values on social media.
According to her, a society that demands ‘humility’ rather than competence is enslaving.

On Twitter, she wrote;
“If a person asks who do you think you are, it is really a commentary on their own fear. An unconscious recognition of their own sense of less
“You must question those who need you to be humble, in relation to who/what? Gracious, kind, thoughtful, humane, yes. Humble? By what standard?
“A society that demands ‘humility’ rather than competence, knowledge, graciousness, wisdom is anti-progress,feudal and enslaving”
