Multi-instrumentalist, singer and song writer, Emmanuel Bez Idakula, popularly known as Bez, has thrilled us with his music since 2007 and we have loved every single release. But do you ever wonder what Bez would’ve been if not the talented soul singer he is? Read to know what he has to say about that.

What’s fashion to you?
Fashion, to me, is an expression of how I feel and how I want to be seen. It doesn’t have to be anything flashy or expensive; pieces have to complement each other nicely to create the art I want to express at that time.

What’s your personal style?
I would say my personal style is simple and laid-back in regular situations but more avant-garde when I’m on stage.

What are the things you do to have that desired look?
I go through different images online, call up some friends that have fashion houses and have them brainstorm with me to get my desired outfit(s). If I am not able to make stuff, I check out stores or my wardrobe and mix and match things.

What is your favourite fashion item?
My favourite fashion item, for now, will be a hat. I feel it gives a certain kind of style and presence. I’m always on the lookout for cool ones.

Do you exercise?
Yes, I do exercise. My stage performances always grow to be energetic so I have to keep my fitness level up. I enjoy running a lot, creating stories in my head while I run. Other things I love are skipping and other types of cardio.

How often do you exercise?
I usually exercise, at least, three times a week but I’m learning to be more disciplined with my exercise schedule so I can be more consistent.

What do you do to relax?
I read a lot and a lot of random things; chilling with a glass of wine and listening to music, hanging out with family and friends and daydreaming. Lol.

How would you say fashion has enhanced your personal brand?
Fashion has really helped my personal brand. A lot of people immediately assume it is me when they see someone wearing the big round hats and the glasses; that is the image they associate me with. That way, it has given me an identity and that is really important in creating a brand.

How would you describe your eating habit?
My eating habit is all over the place, to be honest. I wouldn’t say I am a foodie or that I crave food a lot. In fact, I would rather have salads all-month if I could, and maybe meat; but I have this habit of always finishing my food and never wasting any. I eat all that is on my plate and that can be bad for my waistline.

Where’s your ideal vacation spot?
My ideal vacation spot is anywhere with amazing cool weather and relaxing activities to indulge in so you would not find me in high energy situations for vacations. I like to relax, take in the scenery or the environment and enjoy a new experience.

What are you passionate about in life?
I’m passionate about lifting people up and making their lives better. I love to say that my purpose in life is to add value to the lives of people; whatever way I can do that, I will. Of course, my passion is also in music and watching dreams come to life.

Do you have a skin care regimen or any particular way you take care of your skin?
Nope!

What’s your watch word in life?
Values.

What’s your life rule?
Obey the rules of the world. Whatever you put in, you get out.

What’s your fashion rule?
I’m afraid, my fashion rule will be to have no rule and just go with what I feel.

If you were not a musician, what else would you have loved to be?
I would have loved to be an engineer; designing different types of technologies – both software and hardware.
