Court restrains Tonto Dikeh, Linda Ikeji TV from broadcasting reality show with actress’ son in it
By Sewe Ishola,
A Lagos State Magistrate Court has issued an injunction restraining Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh from featuring her son, King Andre or his likeness in her upcoming reality TV show “King Tonto.”
Tonto had revealed back in December 2017, that she would be airing a no-holds-barred own reality TV show on Linda Ikeji TV, showing her cosmetic surgery and her life as a mother.
In the injunction issued by the court, it was revealed that her son King Andre and her ex-husband Olakunle Churchill with whom she is currently embroiled in a battle for the child’s custody, had sued to not have the child’s likeness appear in the TV show.
Their lawyer, Anthonette Williams-Chukwu, had on the 11th of January filed the motion against Tonto Dikeh, Linda Ikeji Media Limited, and Linda Ikeji.
The court, ordering an interim injunction, asked that the child’s name, face, image, likeness and picture not air, show, be disseminated or broadcasted either through the television, blogs or the world wide web.
