Actor, Dr Kenneth Okonkwo declares gubernatorial ambition in Enugu State

Over the weekend, actor turned politician, Kenneth Okonkwo declared his intention to run for the position of governor of Enugu state on the platform of All Progressives Congress, (APC).
It was gathered that it was the people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone that presented Kenneth Okonkwo, as their consensus candidate to ensure that they forge a common front in their quest to complete their tenure in the 8-year governorship rotational formula between the three senatorial zones in Enugu State.
The actor assured the teeming party supporters that he will do only a term in deference to the time honoured agreement between the zones.
His declaration attracted the party big wigs like Gov. Sullivan Chime, the DG VON, Osita Okechukwu, Speaker of the Enugu House of Assembly, Eugene Odo, Bar Okey Ezea, Bar Ben Nwoye, APC Chairman Enugu State and his state exco, all the ward chairmen in the state and their executives, youth leaders, women leaders, Local Council Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates in the last local government elections.
