Nigeria ranks 91st on World Happiness 2018 report

For a country once labelled, the home of the happiest people on earth, Nigeria ranked 91st in the World’s Happiest Country report for 2018.
The annual ranking of 156 countries, published by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, a United Nations initiative showed that Nigeria moved up four places, from its 95th position in last year’s report.
The 2018 report was released Wednesday, March 14th ahead of the U.N.’s International Day of Happiness, 20th March.
Finland comes out tops, coming from fifth place in 2017 to overtake Norway.
Burundi can be found at the very bottom, the list ranking for things such as GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, social freedom, generosity and absence of corruption.
The top ten happiest countries are:
- Finland.
- Norway.
- Denmark.
- Iceland.
- Switzerland.
- Netherlands.
- Canada.
- New Zealand.
- Sweden.
- Australia.
