Singer, Omawumi goes barefaced on cover of new single ‘Me Ke’
By Patricia Uyeh,
Music diva, Omawumi Megbele, better known by her stage name Omawumi is out with a new tune ‘Me Ke’ which features Kiss Daniel.

One striking thing about the cover for this new single is that the singer went barefaced.
On Instagram, Omawumi announced her new song and explained why she went barefaced on the cover, writing:
“I decided to go barefaced for this Single cover because sometimes we have to show that we do it purely for the ART!
ME KE is loosely translated to mean ‘I No Vex’ and the chorus is culled from a popular Itsekiri folklore about the Brown Pidgeon.
I been no vex when them say I don reign go and now as I dey look them from my scrapper…I still no vex.
I just dey do my own dey go.. @iamkissdaniel the Genius on this one.”
This new song, which was produced by Johnny Drille, is an afro fusion of highlife and jazz.
