US actor, Morgan Freeman reacts to sexual assault allegations

American actor, Morgan Freeman has been accused by no fewer than eight women of inappropraite behaviour and sexual harassment while working with them on movie sets or at promotional events.
The 80-year-old, who is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, with a movie career spanning close to fifty years, got his big break in the movie industry after starring in ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ and ‘Shawshank Redemption’ in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
According to CNN, they spoke with 16 people connected to Moragn Freeman on his case as part of its investigation. While eight people told the network that they were victims of what they regarded as harassment and inappropriate behaviour; others claimed that the actor was innocent of any questionable behaviour.
In a statement, Morgan Freeman apologised to anyone who ws affected and was made uncomfortable or disrespected in the whole episode, saying:
” Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows that I am not someone who would intentionally offend knowingly make anyone feel uneasy’
” I apologise to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent”
