Care for natural hair receives boost with unveiling of new products

The need to improve the beauty and care of the natural hair, which is
the trend among many women in recent times, has received a boost, as
Natures Gentle Touch, on Wednesday unveiled new products, Monoi oil
range, to care for the problems that may arise from its keep.
Speaking at a press unveil in Lagos, Technical Manager of Recare
Cosmetics Limited, owners of Natures Gentle, Daniel Komlan, reiterated
the need for maintaining healthy hair. He also highlighted the
benefits of the new products.
According to him, the hair is more important than we realise because
it boosts self-confidence and self-esteem of an individual.
“Hair is important as far as a woman’s beauty is concerned,” he
explained. “When a woman’s hair is not healthy, you will lose
self-esteem and self -confidence. The right thing to do is to shampoo,
condition, and moisturise your hair regularly,” he said.
On how to use the range, he stated the range helps give moisture to
the hair, leaving it softer and healthier instantly.
Chika Ikenga, Group Managing Director, Recare Cosmetics, which was
launched in 1997 as a premium hair care, said in an opening address
that “African women living in Africa require specific hair care
products because of their unique hair condition affected by African
weather, diet and hair texture. Natures Gentle Touch uses natural
ingredients and knowledge sharing to meet these special beauty needs
of African women.
“The Monoi Oil Product Range for natural hair solution was made to
show the commitment Natures Gentle Touch has to improve the beauty and
personal care of the African Woman.”
Monoi Oil has five products – Strengthening Shampoo, Conditioning
Therapy, Restore Serum, Spray Lotion and Lock and Twist Gel – with
each providing natural solutions to hair problems.
“Natures Gentle Touch is on a mission of solving the beauty problems
of Africans using natural ingredients,” Ikenga concluded.
