Model, Mara Martin breastfeeds baby in swimsuit on fashion runway

Anything can happen on the fashion runway. That was what Model Mara Martin proved as she made heads turn; breastfeeding her baby on the runway of the Sports Illustrated swimsuits fashion show in Miami.
The 30-year-old hit the runway in a bikini while breastfeeding her 5-month-old daughter, Aria. Mara Martin, who hails from Monroe, Michigan, was one of the 16 finalists that included a former maid and a security guard.
The brave mother was chosen by the magazine’s open casting call at the Miami swim week. She strutted down the fashion runway wearing a metallic gold monostrap bikini while carrying her baby, who was wearing a noise-canceling headphones and diaper breastfeeding throughout the proud mom’s catwalk.
Before the show, she took to social media to share a photo with her baby, writing:
“The face you make when your mom makes it to the final 16 of the @si_swimsuit Swim Search,” she writes in the caption. “I’m so so so thankful for the entire team at Sports Illustrated for picking me.”
