The quiet town of Orba in Enugu State came alive with bubbles when Pete Edochie, Rachael Okonkwo, John Okafor (Mr. Ibu) and other celebrities joined movie producer, Nani Boi to welcome Enugu State Governor to his hometown.
It was indeed a remarkable event that saw thousands of the indigenes storm out to welcome His Excellency and the movie stars.
Explaining the motives behind the grand visit, Naniboi, who doubles as a radio presenter said, its simply a family affair.
“Chief Pete Edochie, Rachel Okonkwo, John Okafor, accompanied me to my home town (Orba) to welcome the amiable governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. He is from my place and our people are very proud of him. It was a very remarkable event and our arrival added colour to it. Thanks to the entire people of Orba Udu kingdom.
The celebrities are not from my town. They came to support me and our governor. Chief Pete is like my father and a very good friend of the governor. Nkoli is my sister and also the governor’s daughter. Mr. Ibu is a friend and an illustrious son of Enugu land. So it’s a family affair.”
Adding to that, Naniboi maintained that all hands are on deck to sensitive people to get their Permanent Voters Cards
“There has been serious sensitization for people to get their PVC but they are not told to vote for anyone in particular. Even the governor urges them to get their PVC and vote in people of their choice because it’s their right to vote and be voted for.”
